[edit] Your recent contributions
You seem to have an interest in my beloved Norwich City F.C.. Your contributions to articles on this subject are more than welcome! --Dweller 08:57, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Malcolm Allen
Thanks for your note. Allen was my favourite player in his day, so I'll take a look. I've been quiet on the NCFC front since my Herculean (excuse my bragging) efforts on the Player of the Year awards article, that took yonks, especially when I decided to reverse the order! I'm not sure how we can thoroughly ensure they're all covered, other than checking for redlinks the notable players on the club's article, the list of players of the year and maybe a list of season topscorers. Other than that, it's random thinking about notable players, I guess. --Dweller 12:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A quick note about warning users
Thank you for reverting vandalism to the article Human penis size. Your help is greatly appreciated. I notice that after you reverted the vandalism, you didn't warn the user involved. Could I ask that in the future you consider warning users who vandalize article? Its easy to do and has two significant benefits. First it tells the vandal that we are keeping an eye on them - many users stop vandalizing as soon as they receive a warning. Second it lets other editors know about previous episodes of vandalism and makes it much easier to leave appropriate warnings and know when to impose blocks, if required.
Warning is really easy. Just leave a {{test}} tag on the user's talk page. In the first case of vandalism you leave a {{test1}}, the second time {{test2}} and so on up to {{test4}}. If the user already has a recent {{test4}} notice you can report them to the vandalism noticeboard. You can learn more about the warning system at the vandalism page. Good luck and thanks again for helping us remove vandalism from Wikipedia. Best, Gwernol 21:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Neil Adams
Gosh, you do pick em. That was another of my favourite players. I've done this ([1]) to help. --Dweller 21:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] re: Category:Date of birth missing
Good evening. Per the discussion about privacy concerns expressed at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Privacy of birthdays, date of birth should generally not be added to the biographies of living non-public or semi-public figures. So far, that policy has been interpreted fairly strictly with a pretty high bar being set for the definition of "public figures" who are assumed to have given up their rights to privacy.
By the same token, we should not be adding Category:Date of birth missing to articles unless we have made the case that the person meets the "public figures" threshold. Otherwise, we're just baiting new users into adding content even though the community has already said that we shouldn't include that particular data point. Category:Year of birth missing is okay but the exact date is often not. Thanks for your help. Rossami (talk) 22:45, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NCFC fans cat
Just so you know, I've fixed our userbox and created a category at [2]. Pass the word to any other Canaries you know on WP! --Dweller 16:58, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] England 'B' internationals
Hi, thanks for your note. First off, I'd bring up the concept at WP:FOOTBALL if you haven't done so already. The project may squash it or encourage it, either way it's useful to heed the consensus of chaps over there. Secondly, if it does get a few thumbs up, then it's very simple to create a category. I'll point you to the policy to start with, if you need more help then by all means drop me a line. All the best with it, The Rambling Man 11:45, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 58/59 Cup run
Hi there. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Interesting thought. My answer is that I'm not sure if it's notable enough. The surest way to find out is, if I might suggest, you start it as a section within History of Norwich City F.C. and see how big, how sourced etc it becomes. Then, we can canvass some views about whether it's become big enough and displayed sufficient notability to become a daughter article. My hunch is that it is of such mythic value to City fans that it possibly it notable enough, particularly for the Busby Babes connection, but as I say, I'm unsure. --Dweller 08:04, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, EH74DK. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that a check of your last 5k contributions has shown that you often not warn users when reverting. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. «Snowolf How can I help?» 10:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

I reviewed you. If you have any questions or comments about your review, or anything else, please contact me on my talk page. Cheers -wpktsfs 02:15, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mark Bowen
I was going by the content of the article at UEFA_Cup_1983-84#First_leg which lists him as a non-playing substitute. If that's right he would have been awarded a medal. I'll see if I can find any other source and get back to you. Daemonic Kangaroo 18:19, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Bowen is shown as a non-playing sub here also. I hope that's good enough for now! Daemonic Kangaroo 18:26, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bobby Brennan
This is the best source I can find. It is a blog archive of all things related to Northern Irish international football but does seem reliable. Danny InvincibleTalk|Edits 16:38, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jimmy Thompson
Nah no problem mate. Greaves actually calls him "the man who discovered me", so what better reference than that? Regards. SteveO 11:31, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] Norwich City player of the year
Just to let you know that I'm working extensively on this article, with a view to getting it to Featured List status. Come and join in! --Dweller 12:00, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Good to have you on board. I think you missed, btw, the AfD over Norwich City v Bayern Munich. --Dweller 13:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Lol. Plenty! If you can help with any of the issues at the talk page, finding citations from RS for the {{cn}} tags, free use photo of Butler or the trophy itself or, best of all, a RS with a list of winners. My source is otbc.com which isn't brilliant for a cite. --Dweller 13:28, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- I spent an hour last night failing to find an online RS for the list of winners. Just two fan sites. I'll need a book, magazine or programme. --Dweller 13:45, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
-
- Do you have that 2002 edition? That'd do the trick, with the additional award winners cited by finding newspaper references to their wins. I have a much older edition of CC. --Dweller 13:51, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Fab. I've also had a warm reception from my contact at the club, who I've asked to add the POTY winners to the club website. That'd help! --Dweller 11:50, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Gary Holt
I think you made a mistake. --Dweller 12:48, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- No. But you didn't move it - you just reverted to a worse version! --Dweller 13:04, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pink Un
Hi. I've no idea - all I could find out about it I put into the stub! --Dweller (talk) 11:34, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
