Edward "Big Ed" Burns was an American 19th century confidence man and crime boss. He was known to be in Tombstone, Arizona, during the time of Wyatt Earp. He was boss of a gang in Leadville, Colorado. In Denver, Colorado he joined up with the Soapy Smith gang.
