[edit] encyclopedic articles?

Should we prune names that have very little encyclopedic value. Many of the entries in Easton's are one small line such as "Abel-cheramim - (Judg. 11:33, R.V.; A. V., "plain of the vineyards"), a village of the Ammonites, whither Jephthah pursued their forces." I think we should prune these names and not worry about adding articles for those people. I agree- I think we shouldn't include names of people or places that are only mentioned once in the Bible (and not mentioned outside it)- they're pretty much unencyclopedic I think. Also see my comments at Wikipedia:Easton's Dictionary topics/UY. --G Rutter 15:44, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Persons mentioned one time or so can be added to List of minor Biblical figures. Cheers! BD2412 T 14:51, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Good idea! and then create the appropriate redirect? Danski14 00:09, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EBD on Wikisource

Hi,

As part of my work on fiery furnace, I have created Easton's Bible Dictionary on Wikisource and started to created articles there. I have also created Template:WikisourceEBD1897 for use on Wikipedia to indicate subjects that have an entry in EBD. Obviously, every topic here has an entry in EBD; so, while the Wikisource EBD won't help to fill in missing encyclopedic articles, it can be referenced from the articles we have as added content (and therefore, added value for Wikipedia and Wikisource).

I encourage you to use Template:WikisourceEBD1897 on articles with an accompanying entry in EBD (it's easy, see instructions on its talk page. I would also appreciate any help in creating the Wikisource EBD. Best wishes! --Tetraminoe 14:16, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Number of articles left in categories

The number of articles left for almost each letter are in need of being updated. Should we do this or is there any reason that we havent yet.

Just wondering
