Easy Media Creator is optical disc authoring software, produced by Roxio. It is bundled with some optical disc recorders.
It was developed from, and obsoletes, Adaptec Easy CD Creator, which Roxio now owns and supports.
Unlike Easy CD Creator, support for Mode 2 data recording has been dropped. Easy Media Creator will only record data CDs in Mode 1. The Orange Book (specification for multi-session CDs) intended multi-session to only be used with Mode 2 recording, but was ambiguous on the point. Consequently, there are CD-ROM drives that will not recognize anything other than the first session of a Mode 1 CD.
Once installed, Easy Media Creator is difficult to uninstall. See the Roxio Community Forum, [[1]], containing over 5000 posts concerning this topic. Roxio's official six-step uninstall process, which includes registry edits, is available at [[2]].

- Audio: Audio CD, .MP3, .WAV, .WMA, Dolby Digital .AC3, .AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, .M4A, .MP4
- Photo: .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .BMP, .GIF
