The East Lancs Esteem was a single-deck body built by East Lancashire Coachbuilders for the Scania OmniTown, MAN 12.240, Dennis Dart SLF, Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Dart and Alexander Dennis Enviro 300 chassis. After East Lancs went into administration, they were bought out by the Darwen Group, and the East Lancs Esteem is now known as the Darwen Esteem.
The first few examples of the Esteem only had new front and rear ends, the sides still of the older Myllennium design. This is similar to the first example of the Olympus.
Metrobus currently have the largest number of original Esteems, approximately half of which are on the OmniTown chassis while the other half are on Dennis Dart SLF chassis (which is now replaced by the Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Dart).
Other companies who have Esteems in service are Preston Bus, Heathrow Airport (on contract to an operator) and many more.
There are also two double-deck variants of this body - the Olympus and the Visionaire (open-topper).
A demonstrator toured the UK in 2006 and 2007, some of the main places it has been to are London, with Blue Triangle; Nottingham, with Nottingham City Transport; Reading, with Reading Buses Picture, Blackburn, with Blackburn Transport and Southampton, with Uni-link.
