Talk:Dzungars
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
THIS ENTRY IS SKIMPY AND VERY INCOMPLETE! THE JUNGAR EMPIRE LASTED UNTIL THE MID-18TH CENTURY.
I put this notice in this way because I cannot find where Wikipedia has stashed the boilerplate for this!

Jüün Ghar → Dzungars – Dzungars is the (most common) English name for encyclopedic usage (e.g. Britannica, Encarta). It also matches Wikipedia usage of the Dzungars' territory, Dzungaria. LuiKhuntek 05:01, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

I think the turkish version of Dzungar is Çongar. There are two villages in turkey which are called Çongar. The most part of the habitants lastnames are also Çongar.
[edit] Zasagt Khan
I am almost sure that the Jasaghtu Khan was an ally of the Zungars at the end of the 17th century. IIRC it was the conflict between the Tüsheet Khan and the Zasagt Khan that made the Zungars fight against the Khalkha (or, more precisely, against the Tüsheet and Setsen Khans).
