Dulle Griet, also known as Mad Meg, is the Anglicized version of Dulle Griet, a figure of Flemish folklore who is the subject of a 1562 painting by Pieter Brueghel the Elder. The painting depicts a peasant woman who leads an army of women to pillage Hell. The painting is in the Museum Mayer van den Berg in Antwerp.

She is also the subject of a 1640s painting by Flemish painter David Teniers the Younger.[1]

She appears as a minor character in Caryl Churchill's 1982 play Top Girls and is the heroine of an album of Spike and Suzy.
