Question for you regarding pylons...

Few questions for you regarding your photos of the station entrance pylons...

  • What equipment did you use to take these photos?
  • When did you take these?
  • What other pylons do you have?

I think it does make for a nice addition to the articles you've added them to. But yeah, please drop me a note on my talk page and let me know... SchuminWeb (Talk) 12:43, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the information. My only suggestion for the next time you photograph the pylons is that you get the whole thing from top to bottom. It looks more "complete" that way. SchuminWeb (Talk) 05:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Regarding substitution of templates

Please look over the guideline at WP:SUBST, and please note the key sentence:

Template substitution is a permanent change that removes functionality; it should generally be avoided without a good reason.

Erie flag

Thanks for fixing the Erie, Pa., flag. I didn't know what was wrong with it but removed it so it wouldn't make the page look bad, figuring I'd look at it later on. Thanks!! --Write On 1983 22:24, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

WWOW-AM

Please do not blank talk pages. This is considered vandalism and warnings will be issued (especially by more hard nosed editors). This is a one-time gesture. Please don't do it again. Thanks...SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 20:45, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I kinda figured, which is why I didn't put an warn1 warning. I hate those things. But you do have a point though, it only puts a service grade signal into Erie during the day. Oddly, on Wikipedia and TVRadioWorld it is considered part of the Erie DMA. Is there a Conneaut, Ohio template...or an Erie Media one? So it is not classified as part of Erie, just Erie media. Let me know if I can help further. - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 21:35, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Added the WP:WPRS template in place of the Erie one:) - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 22:28, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

User talk:66.211.223.200 seems an unrepentant nonsense creator. It looks like the behavior goes back to early 2005 and is regular. The warnings should be over for this one. We've been too nice. Pat 15:03, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

I-79

We could track and manage the page from the Erie perspective and let the road warriors handle the more complex aspects of dealing with an article about a roadway. I see no problem in adopting it with that in mind, and I've seen articles with many WikiProject hosts. I guess it all comes down to whether or not we want to take on that responsibility. I would vote to adopt it, since the highway leads right to our doorstep and almost drops into Lake Erie. We have more right to it than most. I was concerned about tagging the plastics industry because it is international and we have no real say in it. If you wish to object to I-79, I'd go along with you, but I think there's no harm, we can be accepting of others and their contributions to the page, and we can help keep tabs on changes that impact us from an Erie perspective. Pat 22:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Take a look at Category:WikiProject Philadelphia articles. They have four or five Interstates and everything else that isn't nailed down. They even have a listing for the Baltimore Pike, an East Coast roadway. Pittsburgh has lots of articles, like Phillie, and one Interstate. Dallas-Ft Worth has lots of articles and several Interstates. Miami has no Interstates, but almost 20 Florida state roads. Boston has very few articles in their list, and no Interstates. Chicago and NYC both seem rather sparse, and no Interstates. I think we're fine including it, but I'm not invested in this either way. Actually, I've been wondering if I've been picking topics that are reasonable for the Erie Project. I've been looking for a connection and trying to bring wayward pages back to the fold. Let me know if I go too far astray. We can always compare thoughts.
btw, Category:WikiProject Philadelphia shows that Category:WikiProject Philadelphia articles page. It seems rather convenient to see a listing of all the articles. Any way we could get that too? I'm not quite sure how it is done. Pat 04:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Sounds reasonable, then. I agree to not have I-79 included in the Erie WikiProject. Anything I need to do? Pat 15:56, 14 May 2007 (UTC) I think we're cool. The item I wanted you to add, was already there. You're just so good! ;-) Pat 21:19, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
