Talk:Drosera brevifolia

[edit] Image:Drosera brevifolia (USDA).jpg
The image which I (and now I see at least two others... sorry) had added was removed because the image's description was corrected to note that it is not actually about drosera brevifolia, as noted on the Commons page for the image. However, the USDA does seem to be under the impression that it is a dwarf sundew (or the synonym drosera annua) as per the USDA page. The other images linked from that page which look similar are also identified as the same species, despite having different photographers. Why shouldn't we believe the USDA? — Epastore (talk) 02:00, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the USDA isn't really an authority on carnivorous plants and is capable of being incorrect. An editor that I fully trust with identification, NoahElhardt, placed that notice there and I tend to agree with his assessment of the photo's identification. At the very least the species is dubious due to photo quality. --Rkitko (talk) 02:16, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
