[edit] No war. Enjoy time here

Ciao! Sorry for giving you this impression... you work is appreciable and I just used to correct. I was just tired of checking ALL of them for typos and style. And, as you can see, the infobox are left n my new edits. I've added a template in the beginning in this page with all the references for style, article layout and rules, etc. Ciao and good work!!! --Attilios (talk) 12:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!

About your creation of Mihtarlam, please remember that you always have to put a space after a comma (only in texts, not in numbers). Regards. --Damifb (talk) 19:17, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer. Also, when you have time and if you want to, it would be great if you could track back all the articles where you left that error. Best wishes.

Please excuse me for my error! Thank you for the correction. Much appreciated. I was merging two articles together, one from Catholic Encyclopedia, and forgot to check whether the vicariate was elevated. Benkenobi18 (talk) 06:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "Yours?!?!?"

Wikipedia articles cannot be yours!!! Have you ever had a glance about the policy here? This is the encyclopedia which everybody can edit. Your article is awful for style, so you must allow other people to edit it. Why don't you read THIS article? So for the moment I'll reinstate my edits. If you'll again delete them and continue in your personalistic stance, I'll name you to some administrator, as you're clearly not following the guidelines for Wikipedia. There are other sites if you want that your articles remain in (poor) state you write them. Good work. --Attilios (talk) 09:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I really don't see where's the problem with my edits. I just corrected the format which was abismal. Let me know. Good work and ciao. --Attilios (talk) 19:38, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I had a look at Attilios' edits, and it is true that he has made some style-related edits; it is also true that he has removed information from the article repeatedly, without any explanation, and with misleading or meaningless edit comments. Style is hardly important here at wikipedia — that can be cleaned up any time. Removal of information is a much more major edit. What's even more more important in the long run is civility and good faith. If Attilios persists in removing information from articles without satisfactory explanations, I suggest you start adding {{uw-delete2}} or {{uw-vandalism2}} tags, and increase the number each time it happens, until you get to, say, {{uw-delete4}}. If he persists after that, then he gets blocked from editing. There are of course other ways he can disrupt things, and let me know if he does, but for such crude and obvious types of disruption we have really simple tools at our disposal to deal with it. See WP:VAND for more info. Cheers, Fuzzypeg 01:26, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Niccolò Ridolfi

Honestly, I don't like the tone of your messages. They always sounds a bit menacing. I see how unexperience of Wikipedia you are, so I think you'd try to show a little less arrogance. But maybe I am wrong and that's just my impression. As for the use of non-English characters, it's standard here to show names under their original form, so Niccolò Ridolfi remains as it is (see for example Carlo Carrà, Emilio Segrè, Niccolò Machiavelli etc.). If you have problems in inserting those characters, in the edit page of Wikipedia articles, at the bootm, is a series of them which you can add by simply clicking on them. If you want to expand that article, why not; just please do it in a decent Wiki-style. Have you checked the "five pillars of Wikipedia" listed in the welcoming you received on this page? Wish you a good work. Ciao from --Attilios (talk) 20:28, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Drjmarkov, it is common practice to use the correct spelling for a word, even if it contains diacriticals uncommon in English. We don't want do Anglicise everything, do we? So for example the article Căluşari. This isn't a problem for searching or navigation, though, because we can also make a page called Calusari, called a redirect page, which contains nothing more than the code:
#REDIRECT [[Căluşari]]
If you click on the redirect, you'll see you get taken to the proper page, and there's a little note just under the title saying "Redirected from Calusari". If you ever want to edit the redirect page you can get there by clicking on the link in that little note.
Regarding writing things in correct format, I always say don't worry too much about this. If you have information to add, but you get the formatting a bit wrong, that's still valuable, because users like Attilios can easily correct it. The main thing is that you provide the articles with the benefit of your expertise. Have fun editing! Fuzzypeg 01:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Ah, Ok. Blame on me. I just misunderstood a bit the tone of your letters: reading here things such as "My article" scares me. So it's OK. There's no need to warn me when you edit articles I began; the principle here is that if one writes an article here, he must expect that other people edit, rewrite, change, cut etc. mercilessly it (hopefully in a consistant and encyclopedical way). Let me know. I don't have sources about Ridolfi, since I just translated article from the Italian Wikipedia. As for the "pillars", I just suggested you them as I noticed your articles look a bit dry as for style, but that ain't a problem. Have good work. --Attilios (talk) 12:50, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Ciao! Just a style note. Don't forget to use subjects in phrases: i.e., "He participated in ..." isntead of "Participated in..." etc. Ciao and good work. --Attilios (talk) 01:59, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
