Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, offline publication, article improvement contests, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
- The project has a stress hotline available for your use.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! TomStar81 (Talk) 17:16, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greco-Turkish war
Drieux, thanks for your involvement in this article. I believe that to resolve the ongoing edit warring, the main focus should be on resolving the large sections on massacres and attrocities. As I have proposed before, these should all be merged into one section comprising of a few well written and npov paragraphs. Thanks, --A.Garnet 13:13, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

hi Direux, would you be able to present some opinions about the debate in this article, if you have time to deal with that issue..It is very difficult for such articles to have a balanced form without third party contributions, regards..--laertes d 08:58, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greco Turkish war
It is not about `the temptation to shop for a favourable answer', nor it has anything to do with blockquotes in general, i have simply asked a basic simple question, whether or not the original statement coming from the source has anything to do with user alexiuscommenus made out of it..You can compare these in the talk page..
- As i said, the only reason why i added this quotation is to counterbalance the Greek POV, which was being presented as if it is the ultimate truth..Sorry but i have to say you dont seem to show your`good faith assumtion` in that case..--laertes d 10:44, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Ok, no problem, i hope your writing of the article goes well..Regards..--laertes d 17:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi Drieux, you seem to lose your interest in this article, i am considering to add some information to it with your kind permission, they would all be sourced from academical work.. and i also have some problems with current organization of the article but i didnt make it a issue since i thought it would be rewrittten anyway at the time.
- In its current version article gives undue weight to the Greek community section, i am fine with the existence of such a section, however im not fine with starting the article with it as it mainly states the Greek POV material just in the beginning..i think `Geopolitical context` has to be given priority as reflecting the real reasons which led to the war, instead of justification provided for it..--laertes d 16:36, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
