There is a list of drama schools on the acting article. I'll put a link on from here. To eb honest, there's more information about drama schools on that article than this one. I'll work on it. Lradrama 11:24, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Funding

A new section has been put onto the article. I felt the need to explain the differences between private schools and other ones regarding tuition fees. However, it can be expanded a lot - nothing I can't do but the work of others will be welcomed too. I can only do this for the UK - I don't know about drama tuition in America or Australia - does anyone else? Lradrama 13:02, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

The list of external links to British, American and Australian drama schools was removed earlier. I have reinstated it. The reason is that there are many websites brought up on Google that just don't give a full list of drama schools in just 1 country, let alone the whole three. People who are researching drama schools may well possess little knowledge and these links make easy work for them. I see no reason why they can't be there. Lradrama 14:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a directory. That's the reason I removed it - we're not here to help people, we're here to build an encyclopedia - and encyclopedias list two or three important places, tops! Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry 17:02, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I don't see that these lists fall under any of the categories listed at WP:NOT#DIR; the lists are not a general directory of every institution that offers drama training in the country (there are many, many more than these), but only of the notable and most important ones (as determined by the criterion of membership of the Conference, in the case of the UK). Each of these warrants its own article on the grounds of notability, so, I'd argue, these entries are a valid and important part of the article. DionysosProteus 14:17, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Quite correct. Many articles are similar in a whole variety of contexts. Thankyou BTW for your work on the British schools list. The others need to be the same though, for consistency. Lradrama 17:15, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
