The Dragon is a steel roller coaster located at Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa, near Des Moines.
The Dragon made its debut on May 12, 1991, during Adventureland's sixteenth full season. It cost an estimated $2.1 million dollars to build The Dragon. It is still Adventureland's only coaster which loops completely upside down.
[edit] Layout
The layout of the Dragon takes riders through two complete inversions, with two giant ten story high loops followed by two spirals.
