Down East, The Magazine of Maine, also known as Down East Magazine, ISSN 0012-5776 is the principal general interest monthly magazine covering Maine, according to Ulrich's Periodical Directory [1] It covers a range of topics including politics, business, food, fashion and lifestyle in the state of Maine.
As it was originally known, Down East Magazine was founded in 1954, and currently has a paid circulation of 105,000 [1]. The magazine is published twelve times a year by its parent company, Down East Enterprise, Inc., which also publishes Shooting Sportsman and Fly Rod & Reel magazines. Down East's Editor in Chief is Paul Doiron and John Viehman is Vice President, Publisher.
