Dosso is an administrative département of the Republic of Niger; see its eponymous capital Dosso for history.

The department has an area of 31,002 km². Its population was 693,207 in the census of 1977; by 1988 it had increased to 1,018,895, and by 2001 it had reached 1,479,095.

Dosso is divided into 5 arrondissements:

• Boboye
• Dogondoutchi
• Dosso
• Gaya
• Loga

Dosso has the following foreign borders:

• Sokoto State, Nigeria - east
• Kebbi State, Nigeria - southeast
• Alibori Department, Benin - south
