[edit] Vandalised

This page has been fairly heavily vandalised. And also, how long are Donna and Joseph McCaul going to be notable for, having not gained entry to the Eurovision and generally been fairly irrelevant? Forever?Karlusss 22:53, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Why at the start say they were regretfully announced to represent Ireland? Thats not a very neutral aspect.

[edit] NPOV

The writer of this article needs to clean the article up and rewrite it from a NPOV.

That comment was apart of the ongoing vandalism of the page, I took it out, and as far as I can see the rest is just statements of fact. - Jeffery

4/4/07 - I took out the comment about them being from a traveler family as its not true. The Mccauls and the Ryans are both well founded members of Athlone society. - Jeffery

6/26/07 - Took out the part about their father and took out the part about a lesbian threesome as these are both unfounded. - Jeffery

[edit] Style/NPOV

Grammar and punctuation need some work in this article. For example:

"Donna had with some pushing from family and friends starting gigging around the country with friend and father figure Doc Carroll of showband fame (Noted for the song Old Man Trouble)."

"After their performance You're A Star panelist, and all-round music "expert" Dave Fanning claimed that Ireland would be better off to have sent chimpanzees and nuns to the Eurovision,(a referance to the other acts not Donna And Joe)"

There's also a few weasels. For example:

"The general feeling in the UK & Ireland..."

NPOV issues. For example:

"Joe has been performing and winning awards and admirers since he was a small boy, including several spots over the years on RTÉ"

[edit] Split of article?

Any objections to creating seperate articles for Donna and Joseph, along with an article for the "group" Donna and Joe? Would seem to make more sense from a biographical point of view. Wexcan (talk) 17:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yo

I'm confused by this sentence: "The decision for Donna and Joe to represent Ireland was voted on by Linda Martin, an Irish entertainer and previous Eurovision winner. It was officially announced on RTÉ's You're A Star on 6 March 2005 at 21:37 WET." Where the hell did you get this idea???The winner was chosen by public vote!

Also, who was this contestant who Donna supposedly had an affair with? 140.203.12.243 (talk) 21:13, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
