"Don't Cha Wanna Ride" is a soul song written by English singer-songwriter Joss Stone, Desmond Child, Betty Wright, Steve Greenberg, and Mike Mangini for Stone's second studio album, Mind, Body & Soul (2004). Released in July 2005 in the United Kingdom and August 2005 in the United States as the album's fourth and final single, it peaked at number twenty on the UK Singles Chart, where it stayed for four weeks. The song contains a sample of Chicago soul/jazz group Young-Holt Unlimited's 1968 song "Soulful Strut", written by Eugene Record and William Sanders.

[edit] Music video
The summery, feel-good video for "Don't Cha Wanna Ride", directed by Wayne Isham, was shot in Santa Monica, California and released in June 2005.[1] It features scenes of Stone driving a flower-patterned white Volkswagen Beetle 1302 Cabriolet (which she recalls in the song's chorus by singing, "a car this fine don't pass your way every day") along the Pacific Coast Highway and performing with her band at the Santa Monica Pier at dusk.
