[edit] Cleanup tag on Oakland Athletics roster
Hey, just wondering why the tag was put; I see your reasons but a) it's a subpage displayed on Oakland Athletics which is hosed on a separate page, and b) none of the other 29 MLB teams have a cleanup tag on their roster. Hello, mate, I see that you are interested in Eurovision. Would you like to be involved in connecting with more eurovision wikipedians to do up the eurovision pages in a more coherent manner? I have come across the Eurovision wikiproject page, which seems to have been dormant for over two years. It may be an idea to have a look there and see how we could improve the eurovision coverage. [edit] Semicolons!
Hi. I see you've been putting in a heck of a lot of work into the UK constituency articles (adding ward lists etc.). Just one thing: learn how to use semicolons! For instance:
- The electoral wards used in the formation of this modified seat are; (then followed by a list)
That line should end with a colon (:) rather than a semicolon (;), because it's being followed by a list. Semicolons should be used in the middle of sentences to indicate a break; what's written (in that sentence) on either side of the semicolon should make sense if it were a sentence on its own. (If that sounds a bit complicated, I'd recommend not using them at all!)
It may seem pedantic, but I didn't want to go through all 600+ constituency articles changing them all myself!
Incidentally, I'm not actually convinced that the ward lists are absolutely necessary, but you've obviously been putting a lot of effort into it. A geographical description of which places are in a given constituency might be more helpful, as ward names don't always mean very much. Also, I found a few errors (see Talk:Twickenham (UK Parliament constituency) for instance). --RFBailey 20:30, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Boundary Commission reviews
Congratulations on creating new pages for the Boundary Commissions ongoing review of Parliamentary Constituency's, but remember they are only recommended by the Boundary Commission and not created by them.
The BC recommends the new seats to the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs (currently Lord Falconer), who has to agree them and then they go through the Parliamentary Process before being created.

[edit] West Lancashire/Preston local elections
Thanks for creating the West Lancashire Council election 2006 election page, I have made a couple of minor changes and will help get the results on there after the election.
I really like all the information on the wards that you have put on the Preston City Council elections page, perhaps after the 2006 election results are on there you could move the 2003 results onto their own page, linked from the main page, while just keeping the most recent results on the main page. I have also just realised that back in November I created a Preston local elections page which should probably get merged with the page you created.

Hi, Doktorbuk. Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I did expect another user to get to it before me. I usually patrol new pages and have become pretty adept at spotting pages that were lifted from another source- the headlines at the beginning of the paragraph on this one were what tipped me off, and a quick googling confirmed my suspicion. I do appreciate your sentiment- this fellow might deserve an article, but if you're talking to the author, maybe hint to him that he might be better off rewriting it from scratch if he wants the article in. Have you tried clicking to see if you get an error message?
Maybe you need to close your browser and open it again (or possibly but unlikely reboot).

It is not my intention to harass you about this. I've found that email is necessary when dealing with certain types of troublesome users. [edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

- As the unblock template you've added says "If the block message says that your IP address is blocked or that your IP address was recently used by a blocked user, please paste the block message or post your IP address below as we have no way of unblocking you if your username itself was not blocked.". Saying AOL collateral damage is pretty unhelpful, there are many AOL IPs, it could be the result of an autoblock from one of many 100s or 1000s occuring recently... --pgk(talk) 08:23, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

This is a non-notable band according to the criteria set out in WP:BAND. One notable indie album or two notable major label albums; a national tour; heavy rotation on a national radio station. If there is no evidence of one or more of these for the band then perhaps Myspace would be a better location for this information rather than an encylopedia, until the criteria are satisfied. - Hi - thanks for your comments. I wish I could prove that this band are notable - they are more than just a local group, for sure. However I am just a ruthless "delete" voter on AfD discussions for non-notable bands so now how many wannabes (some warranted, some not) are trying to find a place here.

Hello! Don't take what I write as a decision, just the questions that any researcher would want to have answered when they read an article - i.e. "What is notable about this band?" If there is noting notable then the article isn't up to standard; if there is evidence then it should be included in order to make the article useful. It's all quite basic, really! Update: The old Cranbury School is on the National Registry for Historic Sites and the New Jersey Registry for Historic Sites. And the old Cranbury School also holds an art gallery. The article has changed since the vote on AFD. WhisperToMe 15:47, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

From the page history, it looks as though we have never had an article on this constituency, only the redirect to Wentworth (UK Parliament constituency). The new constituency looks substantially the same as the old one, so I'd be in favour of keeping the status quo - in the same manner to Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough (UK Parliament constituency).
