[edit] Disney animators
The article already mentions the fluid cel animation, but I remember reading years ago that some Disney animators who worked on the film were responsible for the game's graphics - does anyone know whether that's true? Any info on Disney's involvement should be added, but it would be great to get some references for it first. --Nick R 16:59, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
I have read this too in the games magazine Power Unlimted in 1993 the author didn't mention a source perhaps David Perry who was leading developer of the game can confirm or deny this. Marco 18:53, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] merged in two duplicate articles
There were three seperate articles on Disney Aladdin video games from 1993 with a lot of duplicate information between them and with merger requests. I went ahead and merged the information from all three articles into this one.
Although there are technically two seperate games involved, one by Capcom and the other by Virgin, there did not appear to be enough additional information seperating the two games to require two articles. So the differences between the two versions are outlined in seperate sections of the article.
Of course, if there is dispute about the merger, feel free to discuss and revert it if wanted by consensus. Dugwiki 22:59, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Given the fact that the games are completely different, I think they either need separate articles or the name of this article needs to change. "Disney's Aladdin (video game)" is not accurate, since it covers more than one. Perhaps Video games based on Disney'a Aladdin. Rhindle The Red 15:33, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] COMPLETELY different games?
Considering similar style and apple-throwing, I find it hard to believe each of these was created in a vacuum, so to speak.
- The SNES and Genesis versions are VERY different in terms of gameplay and graphics. They were also produced by two different companies. Although it could be argued that they're not all that different since they're all platforming games and they all follow the same storyline, they can only be but so varied. After all, it wouldn't make much sense to create an Aladdin FPS in outer space. That being said, perhaps "completely" is too strong an adverb; maybe we could tone it down to "very" instead? -Jacquismo 02:57, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Categories
The categories do not show up on the page, but are listed in the edit box. How can this be fixed? 67.188.172.165 22:54, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Split
See the discussions above. This Genesis/SNES games should be split into separate articles. They are completely different games developed by separate companies. --Toxicroak 01:26, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
