Dezghan is a village in the southern part of Iran. It is 45km away from the Persian Gulf and heavily depends on palm growing and other vegetables. The settlers of the village originally come from the neighboring Lengah or Bastak with Persian slang that is near to Arabic.
The Dezgan people are Sunni, unlike most Iranian people. This difference caused many of them to migrate across the gulf to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Many people who are originally Dezgani are now holding senior positions of the Dubai Government, examples include Qasim Sultan Al Banna, Director General of Dubai Municipality.
