[edit] History
Early Years. Formed by Jacqui Vixen & Johnny Navarro in 2002 in east-London, the band has released three albums on their own label November Tenth Records. After touring constantly for four years with Elvis the drum machine the band has built a loyal following in the goth, punk and psychobilly scenes in the UK & Europe. Devilish Presley became the house band at the London club Dead and Buried, run by DJ Cavey Nik. The bands own Pity For Monsters promotion company was already putting on gigs in London in 2004 and after teaming up with Nik - forming Buried By Monsters - they were responsible for bringing many US and European deathrock bands to the UK for the first time. The band have since stopped their promotional activities, whilst Nik has carried on putting on shows under his own Dead & Buried banner.
Europe and a publishing deal. Since 2005 the band have widened their appeal and have played at many punk and psychobilly gigs. They have supported The Damned, The Misfits, The Meteors, The Horropops, The 5678's, Markey Ramone, Jayne County, The Vibrators, and many other acts. In 2006 they signed to the Wipe Out Music publishing company (Deadline, Goldblade 999, etc) and added a live drummer Ragborn Rosy. The band then signed up with the German booking agency Torpedo and have toured in Germany, France, Holland, Poland, Slovakia and both Northern and Southern Ireland. The single Hammer Horror Glamour (from the Memphisto album) has been featured on several cover-mount CDs including Big Cheese magazine (UK) and Zillo (Germany) the Memphisto album became available worldwide on iTunes in September 2006.
2007. A UK Tour with live drums and a new single. Halloween Queen the follow up single to Hammer Horror Glamour was made available on iTunes in March 2007 and the band undertook a 25 date UK tour the first with live drummer Ragborn Rosy.
2007. Part 2. After parting company with their drummer the band have decided to stick to their guns and continue as a 2-piece with a drum machine. In August 2007 yet another UK tour begins taking in 22 dates. Support slots on this tour include The Meteors, The Peacocks, Demented Are Go, King Kurt, and several dates with acclaimed Canadian band The Creepshow. Johnny has begun to do DJ work and is also writing the occasional article for Big Cheese Magazine. In December 2007 the bands new album "The Devil's Bible" will be recorded & produced by P.Paul Fenech of The Meteors at his MadDog studio in Duisburg Germany.
