Deryk Engelland (born April 5, 1982 in Edmonton, AB) is professional ice hockey defenceman currently a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. Engelland was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round, 194th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He began his professional career with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Between 2003 and 2007 he spent time with the Lowell Lock Monsters, the Hershey Bears, the South Carolina Stingrays, and the Reading Royals. He was signed as a free agent by the Penguins in 2007, and was given a two-year contract extension on February 11, 2008.
