Denman Glacier

Denman Glacier (66°45′S 99°30′ECoordinates: 66°45′S 99°30′E) is a glacier 7 to 10 miles wide (11 to 16 km), descending north some 70 miles (112 km), which debouches into Shackleton Ice Shelf east of David Island. It was discovered in November 1912 by the Australasian Antarctic Expedition under Mawson, who named it for Lord Denman, Governor-General of Australia in 1911, a patron of the expedition.
