Deira City Centre (Arabic: ديرة سيتي سنتر) is a large shopping mall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Located in the community of Deira, Deira City Centre was the largest mall in Dubai prior to the establishment of Ibn Battuta Mall and Mall of the Emirates. Deira City Centre was established in 1996, is spread across 1,300,000 square feet (121,000 m²) and includes a Carrefour superstore and Dubai's only Ikea outlet.[1] Deira City Centre has over 340 stores, including a multiplex, food court and a hotel, and attracts over 20 million visitors a year.[2]
Deira City Centre is owned by the Majid Al Futtaim group, and is one of six City Centre malls — the others are located in Ajman, Alexandria, Cairo, Muscat and Sharjah.[3]
