Declan O'Brien, born in Dublin on 16 June 1979, is a footballer currently playing with Eircom League side Drogheda United. He is the club captain and talisman. Last season he was the club's top scorer despite missing six weeks of the season through injury. He has been sidelined for a couple of months in this campaign but still has managed to score five goals in his ten appearances. He previously played for Rivermount and Verona (Ireland).
