[edit] and the reverse?
How come we never get evil Knights who break their code of evilness and become good Knights? Toby Douglass 09:45, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- You mean "Life Knights"? Perhaps they commit suicide because they're so ashamed of their evil deeds.-Robbstrd 00:55, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ragnarok Online: Death Knights?
There is talk in an "RO Future Wiki" that Death Knights are an upcoming, as-of-yet unreleased class. I would provide a reference, but I can't seem to find the link, and the only place I'm sure to get it is unavailable at this time. In the meantime, if anyone would like to provide insights, please do so. PrinceForte 04:30, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] regarding 3.2 Death Knights in the Forgotten Realms
Miltiades wasn't a death knight. He was a skeletal warrior. Information about him can be found in the novels Pools of Darkness and Pool of Twilight. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.224.112.120 (talk) 18:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] "Influences" on other games
An assertion has been made that this stock character has "influences" on other games. I dispute this statement of fact; there may be other games with the a stock character of the same name, or has been based on a similar stock character, but using the same character is not the same as having an influence on the designers or creators of a game - this is unproven. --Gavin Collins (talk) 14:54, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- And I removed it. I am in the process now of proving exactly that. As it stands you have zero content knowledge of this subject area and a proven track record of bias and a non NPOV. Web Warlock (talk) 14:57, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have to have a PhD to edit; I have given reasonable explaination editing the page; I am not a vandal. I think you actions may be unreasonable and I would be grateful if you would restore the Dubious template to the article.--Gavin Collins (talk) 15:07, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well I do have a Ph.D. (or will have it once my dissertation is done), and your edits are more disruptive than a vandal's. Becasue you do not understand something is fine, but tag remains off. Give us the smallest indication you actually have done any research to justify any claim you have made. Web Warlock (talk) 15:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have read this section, and there is no evidence that the appearance of a this stock character in one game has influenced the designers of creators of other games. A simple analogy to explain this logic to you may help: if I change my name to John Smith, I cannot infer by reason alone that the parents of every child named John Smith born subsequently were influenced by my decission to change my name. The sources provided cannont be used to make this assertion; the creators of the games would have state this explictly.
- However, whether you agree with this argument is moot; I think you will agree that the removal of the template was unjustified. At the moment I am contesting the statement that there is any "influence" at all. --Gavin Collins (talk) 15:57, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- However, if you wrote a book called "White Dwarves" and and said dwarves had white skin, black eyes and breathed fire, it would be a safe bet that others who created something called a "White Dwarf" that had white skin, black eyes and breathed fire probably got the idea from you. - In other issues...I am not happy with the World of Warcraft section under Influences. I thought I had read that they were based on the FF Death Knights (the developers are fans of old 1st ed), but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If I can't we might need to rewite that bit or remove it. Web Warlock (talk) 15:53, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- I did find another one, "Savage Worlds - Fantasy Bestiary". Web Warlock (talk) 17:56, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
