Dean railway station is a small halt station near the village of West Dean,Wiltshire (near to the Hampshire/Wiltshire border), England.
The station itself is on the Wessex Main Line 14 km (9 miles) south east of Salisbury.
[edit] Service
From 9 December 2007, a new service serves Dean. It will operate from Salisbury to Romsey, via Southampton Central. South West Trains will operate the service utilising 2-car Class 158 units. Dean will have a roughly hourly service with some 2 hour gaps, a vast improvement on the previous frequency.
As a result of this the number of First Great Western between Portsmouth Harbour and Cardiff services that stop at Dean will be reduced.
