Dean Edward Hamel (born July 7, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan) is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Tulsa. He now resides in Hudson, North Carolina and works in a plant in the area.[citation needed]
