[edit] Heart failure vs. cardiovascular disease
The problem I have with including all victims of heart failure is that heart failure is not always primarily cardiovascular in origin. It may be caused by cardiovascular insufficiency, but it can also be a side effect of lung disease (such as emphysema, pulmonary hypertension or COPD) or even chemotherapy treatments.
Of course, "heart failure" is not the same thing as a heart attack or cardiac arrest, although some reporters and other obituary writers have made the mistake of confusing them. --Charlene.fic 22:40, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
