[edit] Current situation
Hi,
I find the following piece of literature to be wishful thinking and entertaining fiction:
""Now After a long time Dawood College is again acheving its previous pride. It is now recognized by PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council).Soon after it will be Promoted to Dawood University of Engineering & Technologies. It is now one of the best Engineering colleges of the country. Its Electronics and Chemical Engineering Departments are pioneer in relevant education in country. The Labs of all departments are fully equipped.DCET [(Dawood College Of Engineering & Technology)] is producing hundreds of Professional Engineeres every year.""
Wasn't it on March 26, 2005 that DCET principal was shot dead? I find the statement that DCET is one of the best engineering colleges in the country to be highly doubtful as well.
About PEC: DCET's graduated are retroactively recognized. This does not apply to current DCET graduates who get MehranUET's degrees.
Either way, saying that "Now after a long time DCET is achieving its..." without backing it up goes against Wikipedia guidelines. This statement does not pertain to hard facts, does not state hard facts or anything substantial at all.
No matter how attached one might be to one's alma mater, one must keep in mind objectivity and truth. Otherwise Wikipedia will become nothing more than a vanity page for people and their egos :)
Cheers, Mobi.
[edit] Article not up to Wikipedia standards
This article is deficient in many ways. Serious allegations are made ("hypocrisy", "murder", "corruption") without any supporting sources. In general, the article lacks verifiable and reliable sources. The style of the article is not encyclopedic. the English (especially the history section) is very bad and almost unintelligible. Cleanup and re-write is urgently necessary. --Crusio (talk) 19:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
