I've found these 3 links (amongst others), none of them specifcally mention the bit about being happy, but I suspect that the book referred to in the Yorkshire Post article would, but don't have access to it:

I can't persuade searches of the UK press to give the original coverage from back in 1995 which would settle it once and for all. David Underdown 12:44, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
