Dave Cameron (born December 30, 1975 in Kingston, Ontario) is a retired ice hockey centre. He played one season for the CompuWare Ambassadors Junior "B" team in Detroit, MI before before being drafted to the Detroit CompuWare Ambassador's Junior "A" team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for their first season in 1990. Dave was selected in the 2nd. round, 39th overall in the 1991 NHL entry draft by the LA Kings. He was subsequently traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins the following year. After a successful training camp with the LA Kings 17 year old Dave Cameron returned for another season with his Junior "A" team in Detroit, now labeled the Detroit Junior Wings. He had a solid season leading the entire OHL as the player with most points combined with more than 200 penalty minutes. During the 1992 playoffs Dave suffered what would ultimately be a career ending injury when he fractured his ankle in numerous spots while blocking a shot. Dave would not return to competitive hockey the next season and his career was effectively over.
