Dauer Hall, originally known as the Florida Union , is an historic building on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, in the United States. It was designed by Rudolph Weaver in the Collegiate Gothic style and was built in 1936. The Florida Union moved into the J. Wayne Reitz Union in 1967 and the building was then used for liberal arts classrooms and faculty offices. In 1975, it was renamed for Manning J. Dauer, longtime chairman of the political science department.[1][2]
Dauer Hall is a contributing property in the University of Florida Campus Historic District which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 20, 1989.
