[edit] List of Speed Metal bands
Hi. They probably shouldn't be in the list. Some users have misidentified various thrash and power metal bands for speed metal and that's why there are some oddities in the list. I'll remove the band. Pasajero 09:02, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, Venom is definately speed metal. Don't be fooled by the "black metal" genre. All it means is that the band has a certain ideology (anti-Christian, belligerent, etc.). Every "black metal" band plays some kind of metal. In Venom's case speed metal. Pasajero 18:18, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't know who to trust in this. Metal-Archives is made by fans, but so is that myspace page. Hmm. I guess it would be safer to trust on Metal-Archives though, since that is free to edit. I added split-up but feel free to do otherwise. :) Darksteel 16:15, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

- I was thinking on giving you the same answer. I will put in the Moonblood page its slip up status... Diego Torquemada 23:34, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Black Metal Tapes
As far as I can see, the music guidelines are for the type of release, not the format. You can just add a note in the album page that it's a tape only relase or such. I can't find any real mention of release format in album pages, unless it's something special. Dace59 14:05, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- No promblem, always somewhere you can cram the info I. Heh, I see the massage, haven't been on Last.fm in a while as you can see, been on a big kick of listening to all my albums and my housemate's LPs these days. Dace59 14:14, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
I buy a few LPs, but mostly my housemate buys them, but it's share and share alike. It's mostly Metal apart from some classic rock stuff. All the classic Maiden, Sabbath and Priest, stuff like Malmsteen, Dio, Megadeth, various random things etc. Some interesting rare stuff to which is always good. As for the tapes, well guess you can either class them as singles, or see if there's any other colour you can use in the info box and just add the format as "Tape release" maybe? Dace59 14:23, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I've just done a little sandboxing and most colours seem to work, just have to make them look ok (eg red is really bright and looks horrible on the link blue). But yeah, the project will probably be able to work out a new colour cat. or just cram odd tape releases into an exsisting one. I take it this is for bands like Moonblood... Dace59 14:33, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Nothing wrong with that. As long as they're noteable, people can't stop you. I guess you just have to say, I have these releases, noteable from noteable bands, but they're tapes...not really an album or an EP, so what do I class them as, or do I use something new? Sort of thing. Hmm, I should get back to work with adding and updating album info really. It's about all I've really done so far, heh. Dace59 14:41, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
BTW, have you seen this news? eBay apprently bans Black Metal I think I need to look into this one. Dace59 15:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Thankfully not an eBay user either. Yeah it's usual stupid media panic and right wing pressure groups. Have to see how far it really goes. Ohh, never seen the Dis-Order one before, looks tempting for a big spree when my next student loan comes in. Woo for wasting more money on CDs. And talk page spam too, heh. Dace59 16:03, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I try to dig up lots of cheap stuff. Like the second hand record store we by LPs from, just buying any decent Metal and Prog I can get cheap, hence the somewhat random nature of my CD collection. I clearly need to buy lots of CDs when my loan comes in, to make me feel better about starting my final year of University. Dace59 16:11, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
I gave up on keeping a wish list long ago, it just got to big. I just get whatever I feel like at the time really. I always need more of every type of Metal, as long as it's real Metal, it's all good. Never really done tapes, not that kvlt, heh. Dace59 16:21, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Heard a lot of good things about Moonsorrow, may have to look at getting some in the next haul. Definaly need some Windir if I go on a Viking spree. Dace59 16:34, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Moonblood
Thanks for your invitation to make more Moonblood pages. I would help you if I had a little time.. now I am writing my dissertation.. no time, Sorry... btw, I saw in Metal Archives some new info about Moonblood... specifically about the city the come from. If I have time, I could also help you with Kampfar
Stay metal,

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Aborted logo.JPG
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Aborted logo.JPG. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner.
