Games Workshop Online Community

User:SanchiTachi/Graphic Novels Current is what I have so far (about 1/4th of the way done). I am probably going to add it to the lexicanum instead of trying to fight with people who want to just put up a comics page (even though there is a page that already has all that information, I guess people love redundancy). Minor edits

Hi, I've noticed that you mark most of your edits as minor, even though some of them are pretty major and add or change an article significantly. Please take a look at WP:MINOR to see which edits actually should count as minor. Thanks. Shrumster 05:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

If this is accidental because you have the "Mark all edits minor by default" option selected, you should probably un-select that option from the "my preferences" page. Marking major edits as minor is quite misleading for other editors. --`/aksha 07:34, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

User RFC filing attempt

Hi there. I notice you attempted to start a user conduct RFC a couple of days ago, but don't seem to have followed the procedure properly. You actually have to create the RFC itself and fill in the template found here, with your justification for the RFC request, at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Kiminatheguardian to start the process. (Copying the template, then clicking onto the red link and pasting there, will get you started properly.) Don't forget to follow the requirements on the template with regards to summaries and diffs. I Welcome Your Support

I do welcome your support there, but the page is devoteed not to the comics (its not a Warhammer Monthly page) but to certain graphic novels and the miniatures that have been spawned off and the rules created for them in white dwarf. While there should be a warhammer comics page, the information included is not intended for that and should be a separate page. SanchiTachi 20:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I have stopped editing the refs into the punctuation. After this is done, I will bring up the issue on those pages. However, this guy doesn't seem wanting to respect any of the warhammer pages and wants to just spite me whereever he can. We already have pages devoteed to the individual comics, why can't they understand that and let there be a page devoteed to how the comics have melded into the game? The model does not belong on that page. It needs to belong on an army page, but is not a current model. Why not use one of the many promotional art works instead? It would be better for the article than the miniature. SanchiTachi 00:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Editing of others words is not allowed. Removing of sections from your talk page is allowed, especially warnings from users about rule breaking. Please see the user page for this. A user talk page is for discussion, and has the luxury of being curtailled to the way the user wishes it to be. SanchiTachi's socks

Hi. Just a quick note to say that I'm not sure it's actually worth reporting his socks anywhere (unless a specific IP address is actively vandalising, in which case WP:AIV is the right place). As I see it, they're obviously socks: we don't need a checkuser to tell us that (I suspect your latest request may be "declined as obvious"), and he's clearly on dynamic dial-up, so blocking really doesn't have any effect. From the looks of things, he gets addresses in (at least) a /17 range, and blocking just isn't going to happen given the relatively low level of trouble he's causing. Anyway, keep up the good work! No problem - thanks for the reply. I use TWINKLE myself, which occasionally has a mind of its own as well. Fulgrim's fate

Hi there. While I dont have time to provide a citation, I assume the information changed on the Primarch page came from both the Sabertooth cards and the latest BL Horus Heresy book "Fulgrim", both of which support the daemon possession. Ta. Primarch 16:15, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

The Horus Heresy books are written in the Sabertooth CG world, "Horus Heresy". The game was discontinued and replaced by Dark Millenium. They are not directly controlled by GW's fiction writers (Gav Thorpe leads the department) nor do they follow the same story as put forth in the Warhammer 40,000 game. GW has not backed up any claims about Fulgrim being possessed, and the Fourth Ed Codex would need to be checked to see if they will.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.139.87.48 (talk • contribs)

Unregistered user, where do you get this information that Gav Thorpe is head of GW ficiton and IP? I'm sure Alan Merret, the current head of all GW fluff would be surprised to hear that another writer is claiming his role and position (see http://www.blacklibrary.com/author.asp?id=64). Es[ecailly since Gav Thorpe's work is subordinate to Alan. Please cite for me your verifiable source. In addition, you'll note that the novel "Fulgrim" released in the last few weeks by GW/BL supports Fulgrim's possession and Ferrus' beheading at his hands. You can't get more recent than that! Why don't you ask Gav? You obviously know nothing about GW if you don't realize that his job within GW is "Lead Background Designer" and head of all fiction within the Warhammer 40,000 world. Alan Merrit does not hold any position at Games Workshop. He only has a position at Black Library. They are different, and Black Library has no say over what goes in Codexes or Rulebooks. They are their own seperate company and have an alternate GW universe. You can call up the company and ask them yourself and they will tell you this information. Any shop clerk can tell you the information. You are the one putting in out of dated FAN FICTION in there. The Black Library accepts works from ANYONE and is not official. They never were official. If you want to talk about Warhammer 40,000, you better have a source from a legitimate, authorized source such as a Codex, a Rulebook, or the Website. Black Library is not an authorized and credible source when talking about this information. They are an alternate reality and have no standards. Furthermore, Alan Merrit has no real say or job, so you are a liar. Fulgrim was written for the no longer in production Horus Heresy card game. The game was replaced by Dark Millenium. Chaos Space Marines

See Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Disturbedrcool1, but that was mostly just to get the socks blocked. The inital socks had the "account creation blocked" flag set on their blocks, so the master's obviously coming back from a different IP address to create the new accounts. You could list the new socks at WP:AIV to get them blocked, but at the moment it doesn't really seem worth it. Cheers --Pak21 13:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

28mm

Well, I know from my own comparisons that the current miniatures are the same height as some 25mm miniatures I have that were produced by another company. The SBG article quotes the following:

"Note that these figures are 25 mm and not the 28 mm figures that are more popular today"; (Painting the Lord of the Rings Mines of Moria Game (2005-11-23). Retrieved on 2007-07-17.)

As far as I know, the reasoning behind this was to prevent conversions using pieces Warhammer and LotR minis together. I think you're right about an earlier range being 28mm though, as the article also comments on "an unrelated series of Lord of the Rings models" that GW had in the 1980s. --Grimhelm 15:36, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
