- What was incorrect about my information? Admittedly, I can't stand Paris as much as anyone else, but she was in Sydney, and did cause a stir. DancingMan 02:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- She has not done any promotions for Pure Blonde, That is what was incorrect. DXRAW 02:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh, never mind - she promoted Bondi Blonde, not Pure Blonde. Sorry, my mistake. DancingMan 02:34, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chinese singers up for AfD
Hi there, I noticed that you had listed the Chinese singers article for speedy deletion. I'm not sure what the status is of that. However, I did not see a tag on the main article space - perhaps the process was not complete. Nonetheless, I wanted to let you know that the article has been proposed for as an Article for Deletion. You may wish to speak on this article in the current discussion. Luke! 02:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Harry Cooper talk page
Please make sure we keep the request/letter to the talk page - that is classic - I have copied it to one of the wikipedia deleted nonsense articles - SatuSuro 08:00, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Huh? I don't think you're talking about one of my edits... ?? Please explain? DancingMan 08:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Dont worry about it - the talk page has what I am trying to keep - not the article page --15:56 Harry Cooper (veterinarian) (diff; hist) . . (-2) . . DancingMan (Talk | contribs) (Fix bolding) - no big deal...SatuSuro 08:05, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] T3hLlama
hey thanks for capitalizing the title on The Hoodoo Voodoo Dolls page!! iv been trying to do that for ages!!
[edit] Blood-vomiting game
Nonsense? This game is one of the most important games in the history of go. If this is nonsense, then Category:Chess games is nonsense. Also, I'm not new to Wikipedia, thank you very much. CanbekEsen 06:49, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I didn't immediately see the context. Maybe it needs tidying up, to make the context clearer. DancingMan 06:52, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

- Sure, I just created it as a starter page. There's a bunch of references and things I need to add. CanbekEsen 06:56, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ivermectin & Dominoes
In response to your recent edit on the Ivermectin page...I liked (and penned) that odd comparison. Specifically, you removed the text:
| “ | this semi-lethal dose is 52 g (1.9 oz), or an amount of the pesticide equal to about four dominoes | ” |
I'd like some kind of helpful visualization for "how much" 52 grams at that density is. Kindly help come up with something other than dominoes if you like, or let's restore dominoes. I've seen dominoes used in regards to food amounts and caloric intake, so I figured it a decent example. To many people, it seems, "grams" is rather meaningless. For people with small children and ant traps in their homes, it is nice to have a feel for how much of this crap can kill your kid. Lensim 16:44, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- How about "roughly the weight and volume of an iPod Nano"? I think it would mean more to compare it to a singular item, rather than four of something. That involves less mental processing by the concerned parent. DancingMan 04:01, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Sweet. If that's accurate, I'm in. Lensim 22:41, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Flubadeedoe
I never feel comfortable tagging things that make sense (grammatically, I mean) as nonsense. If you feel happy to tag it as nonsense, please go ahead, I will certainly not be annoyed if this gets speedied. J Milburn 14:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deep Off
Hi, thanks for stepping in on the Deep Off article. Unfortunately, hoax articles aren't candidates for speedy deletion, per WP:HOAX. You tagged the article as patent nonsense, but that doesn't apply since the article isn't gibberish or incoherent ramblings. The world won't stop spinning if this article has to remain on WP for a few days, let's just let things run their course. Good luck! Neil916 (Talk) 07:26, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I hadn't actually read WP:HOAX until now; I can understand why one might prod an article if it's not entirely obvious that it's a hoax, but in this case, there is no doubt about it - it's just plain silliness. DancingMan 07:29, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I agree with you there. I've left a note on the author's talk page trying to encourage him to replace the article with a {{db-author}} tag, but that usually doesn't work. But like I said, it's not the end of the world, and nothing links to the article anyway (THAT's easy to revert). Neil916 (Talk) 07:32, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Just having a look at WP:CSD; it does say,
| “ | Hoaxes: Articles that present unverifiable and probably false ideas, theories, or subjects. Occasionally these can be deleted as vandalism if the article is obviously ridiculous, but remotely plausible articles should be subjected to further scrutiny in a wider forum. | ” |
I still feel these types of articles should be speedied. DancingMan 09:58, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- True, but notice that that section that you've quoted was taken from the section "Non-criteria", where the opening paragraph outlines "This section aims to clarify some of the frequently used "non-criteria" that are commonly cited but are not sufficient, by themselves, to justify speedy deletion". I think we're on the same page where neither one of us like to see such pages on Wikipedia, but overall, the harm done by such articles is pretty miniscule, since the only way the casual user would ever come across them would be from the "random article" link. Just tag the article with the {{hoax}} tag, send a nice request to the author, like {{uw-joke1}}, and {{prod}} it or XFD it if necessary. If the author ends up linking it to other pages, then revert those changes. No harm, no foul. Apparently, from reading between the lines on WP:HOAX, I gather that in the past, there have been speedily-deleted "hoax" articles that actually were true, and noses can get pushed out of joint in those cases, especially if an editor has spent a considerable amount of time working on them only to come back the next day and see them deleted. [edit] Thanks for the help on Ziltoid the Omniscient
It turned out that the red link on the Devin Townsend page I'd clicked on to create that article had Omniscient misspelled. An article with the correct spelling had already been created, and Ziltoid the Ominiscient now redirects to the correct page. Thanks again for the formatting help, though! TJSwoboda 22:21, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm. I didn't even notice the typo. Oh well. DancingMan 22:59, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SHA-1
While looking at the category for Wikipedians with committed identities, I realized that you are using a SHA-1 hash. While SHA1 hashes are relatively secure, it is possible for them to be hacked. I advise that you try a SHA-512 hash. A calculator for SHA512 can be found here,[[1]]. While not required, this would further add to the seecurity of your account. Thank you for keeping Wikipedia safe. Remember to use a strong password!! - Hairchrm 02:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
