Dancetracks Digital is an online music store based out of Brooklyn, New York that specializes in selling dance music mp3s. Launched in March, 2005, Dancetracks Digital was founded as the digital version of the Dancetracks Store of Manhattan's Lower East Side. Dancetracks Store, founded in 1989, became the primary place where DJs on the cutting edge of the House/Electronic sound in New York bought their vinyl records in the early 1990s. Dancetracks Digital is important for being the next logical continuance of Dancetracks Store in the current digital music era. It is one of the few online music stores that specializes in selling music to djs and the dance/house music scene. It is one of just a handful of digital download stores to have its roots in the early years of house.[1]
