Daniel J. "D. J." Carrasco (born April 12, 1977 in Safford, Arizona) is a pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization. Carrasco's only major league experience came pitching for the Kansas City Royals from 2003-2005.
Carrasco was drafted in the 26th round of the 1997 amateur draft by the Baltimore Orioles, but did not pitch a minor league game for them. He played in the Cleveland Indians organization in 1998 and in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization from 1999-2002. Carrasco spent all of 2003 in the majors for the Royals and was up and down with the Royals from 2004-2005. Carrasco pitched 3 games in Japan for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in 2006. Carrasco pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks Triple-A affiliate, the Tucson Sidewinders in 2007. On January 11, 2008, Carrasco signed a minor league contract with an invite to Spring Training with the Chicago White Sox.
He has an MLB career ERA of 4.82, and attended Pima Community College.
