The Cyprus national basketball team is the national team of Cyprus. It is run by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. It is affiliated to FIBA, in the FIBA Europe zone.
The team participates at international and European tournaments. The only international tournament it took part in 2005, were the World University Games, where it finished 26th out of 30 participating nations.
Currently, Cyprus plays in Division B of the Eurobasket system. In the 2005 Eurobasket qualifying competition, the team finished third in their qualifying group of four teams with a record of 3-3.
The team's results have improved considerably in recent years. Cyprus has repeatedly retained the European minor countries tournament since 1995, while Cyprus made their first appearance in a Eurobasket semifinal phase in 2003.
