I believe this article shouldn't be deleted because although the subject of the article isn't super famous, he is of current affairs. Please give the article time to be expanded as the situation unfolds.Tblore 04:14, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

I agree that we don't need both articles, but I think that this article should be merged into the Spiritwood Incident article - my feeling is that the incident is the main focus, and interest in a Dagenais article stems from that, instead of the other way around.
