When not in class or at work, I'm likely on the computer. I can be found on Windows Live Messenger most of the time. It is my primary form of contact.

I know a lot about computers, but I prefer to use them for leisure, instead of making them into a career. I think dealing with computer problems all day would drive me mad. All my computer knowledge was self taught with relative ease.

My current PC isn't very good, but it does what it needs to do. It is certainly not a gaming machine, but with all my consoles, it doesn't need to be.

While I don't watch nearly as much TV as I did when I was growing up, I do still enjoy it. My preference is in sitcoms, but I don't find many that have character development worth following, or comedy that I find particularily funny. In terms of other shows, I deeply enjoy shows focused on superhuman abilities, which is why I enjoy Smallville and Heroes immensely.

The majority of my current day TV habits involves the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. However, I have also seen every episode of The Simpsons, and have an unquestionably large knowledge base of the show, especially of the earlier seasons.

What I Watch Now: The Simpsons, Friends, Saved By The Bell, Smallville, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Psych, Family Guy, and Leaf games.

What I Watched Growing Up: Doug, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, DuckTales, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Tiny Toon Adventures, Bobby's World, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Season 1 only), Alvin and the Chipmunks, Animaniacs, Ren and Stimpy, My Pet Monster, The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, Rugrats, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, Darkwing Duck, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Inspector Gadget, Earthworm Jim, Full House, TaleSpin, Growing Pains, Bump in the Night, Family Matters, Goof Troop, Pinky and the Brain, Who's the Boss?, and The Care Bears.

.....needless to say, I watched a lot of TV as a kid.

[edit] Movies

I love to watch movies when I have the time. Watching a DVD on my Widescreen HDTV is gorgeous, and perhaps comparable to the theatrical experience.

I prefer comedies, but enjoy many genres. I like movies that make you think, but only if I am in the mood to do so. While I like a scary movie, I prefer a thriller to the more modern motion picture scares, which rely on jumpy movements and loud noises.

In terms of genres I don't like, it would be war movies, as well as westerns. I prefer a movie that takes place in a setting I am familiar with, like suburbia or an urban area. To me, the familiarity helps with the enjoyment.

Favourite Live Action Movie: Magnolia

Favourite Animated Movies: Aladdin, The Land Before Time, and The Lion King

Other Favourites: Memento, Cruel Intentions, American Pie, The Truman Show, Three To Tango, Liar Liar, Pleasantville, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

GD
This user is a fan of GREEN DAY.
This user likes alternative rock.
This user has an iPod.

I love listening to music, whether at home, or on the go with my iPod mini. My collection is comprised of mostly mainstream music released from the mid 90s to modern day, with some oldies here and there.

My collection also includes a large selection of video game music, television show theme songs, and select themes from other popular media, such as movies or commercials.

While I have a large variety of songs, my collection has died down considerably. Over the past few years, I have stopped listening to the radio or any music channel, so I am not really in tune with current trends. In fact, I never did much enjoy listening to the radio, since I could not directly control what is played.

Favourite Bands: Smash Mouth, Green Day, Blink 182, Metallica, Treble Charger, Barenaked Ladies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N' Roses and Our Lady Peace

I am an avid gamer. I currently own a GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 2, NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance SP, PSP, and Game Gear. I used to have a Nintendo 64 and a PSone.

Formerly involved in both console and PC gaming, I have since removed myself from the computer gaming world, due to an outdated graphics card in my computer. Other factors do factor into this decision, like install time, compatibility, hard drive space, varying input control, and crashes -- problems that are not seen in the console gaming world.
