The following paragraph is incorrect because unfortunately in 2006 (and probably early 2007) the management at Crown Hill allowed hunting on the grounds and many of the beautiful white-tailed deer were killed. Therefore, there are no longer an estimated 30 white-tailed deer on the property and I woundn't consider hunting grounds a "refuge for animals in the city."

"Crown Hill Cemetery is the largest refuge for animals in the city, including an estimated 30 white-tailed deer. There are also numerous species of trees, each of which is marked with a number that corresponds to its scientific name and its common name."
