Purgatory is a seventh season episode of the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
[edit] Plot summary
The episode resumes where "Untethered" left off. Det. Goren, under suspension pending a psychiatric evaluation, decides to prove himself by going undercover to take down a high-level drug-dealer. In the process, Goren disbands a duo of dirty cops and strains his relationship with his partner, Eames. The episode ends with Goren being reinstated as a detective. In the final scene, Goren finds a dead rat in his desk, suggesting that someone in his branch knows about him undermining the two dirty cops.
