[edit] CVG Assessment

This is in regards to the request for assessment from the CVG Assessment page. I am rating this article as Stub-class, despite it's length. A quick overview, from the top.

• Lead- rather short, but passable.

• Gameplay- What? "It's like this other game, but different." Right. You need to actually describe the gameplay, and what the heck is going on. Who's Velo, who's Oxide, and what is a CNK token? Write the article as if the reader has no clue what Crash Bandicoot is, has never played this game, or any other game.

• Story- I'll be blunt. Don't rewrite this section. Delete it, and start again. I'm not sure if this is just ripped out of the game manual, or if you worte this yourself, but it's completely unusable. Wikipedia is written in a 3rd-person perspective- not second, and certainly not first!

• Everything after that- delete it. Have a section on the characters, written in paragraph form, describing who they are and the cart they race in. No poses! No lists! Same with the tracks- a short paragraph on the various types of tracks in the game. Not a list of gameguide material! And take out the trivia section- if its' trivial, it doesn't need to be in the article.

If I seem a little snippy, it's because reading the story section really made me angry. This is the first time that I've actually lowered an article's rating when assessing. This article needs a lot of work to get back to Start-class, much less higher. --PresN 02:07, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request For Comment: IP actions

This is an official notice of an RfC opened 15:17, 30 January 2007 (UTC) on Crash Nitro Kart. Two IPs are currently locked in a heated edit war concerning the substance of the article. The edit summaries on the history page are being used to voice opinions, rather than the talk page. Both parties seem to me to have violated WP:3RR many times over; I've requested semi-protection until this can be sorted out. --HubHikari 15:17, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Can't we at least revert back to the version BEFORE the tag was introduced? That way, it's neutral. [edit] OK, if we must change it, I'd like to request two things.

• That we adjust the Team Racing article as well, as it otherwise promotes biasey.
• We adjust the storyline and character line-up without going back to the original version, as it is speculative, repetitive and Crunch's bio is somewhat lack-luster.

I request everyone leaves it alone :(
