[edit] Proposed merge with Craniostenosis

Craniosynostosis and craniostenosis are not the same thing. A child can have early fusion of the cranial bones (craniosynostosis) without having stenosis, which is a restriction on the space available for the brain to grow. Alternatively, craniostenosis can develop for reasons other than craniosynostosis.

Support: as far as I can tell, the two names are synonymous. I propose the new article be called Craniosynostosis as that name has more articles wikilinked to it. Rosemary Amey 04:46, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

i removed a superfluous link to "craniostenosis". if it just redirects back, what is its function? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.74.3.88 (talk) 18:26, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
