My name is Michael Sue-Kam-Ling and I am a student at the University of Waterloo currently working towards my Bachelor of Applied Science in Honours Chemical Engineering. I am currently in my third year of studies out of five total. Thanks to the Cooperative Education program, I have worked for the University of Waterloo's Department of Chemical Engineering, Environment Canada in Downsview and the Professional Development for Engineering Students program at Waterloo, and I currently work for Imperial Oil in Sarnia.
I used have my own wiki project specifically for engineering students at the University of Waterloo, called the "Eng-Wiki" but it was unfortunately shut down due to lack of funding.
[edit] Work on Wikipedia
As far as Wikipedia goes, I prefer to contribute to subjects that are less popular because in that sense I have the most freedom and people don't interfere with my work. I have been mostly working on ice hockey related articles, as well as some music and University of Waterloo stuff.
I've been mostly on a wiki-hiatus for the last little while, most likely due to my World of Warcraft addiction, but I am cutting back now, so perhaps I'll start contributing again.
[edit] Substantial contributions and created articles
I haven't had too much to offer yet on Wikipedia, but here's a list of the pages I have contributed substantially to:
[edit] WikiProjects
I recently joined the Wikipedia Project for ice hockey but I only contribute sporadically. I have mainly helped with the application of the new ice hockey player infobox on a numerous number of players. I also attempt to remove POV statements about players, particularly "scouting reports" as they clearly have no encyclopedic purpose since encyclopedias aren't meant as scouting resources.
