[edit] History of Meath

anyone interested in doing something on the history of the county. Its steeped in it...Newgrange, Nowth and Dowth, the Boyne itself from Fionn Mac Cumhail to the Battle between King James and King William of Orange. The High King sat there as mentioned as well as St Patrick having spent a while there (battling druids and such ;)). Paidí O Donaghue in 1798, Thomas Ashe in 1916 (one of the few risings outside Dublin and the only succesful one) in Ashbourne. Kells, Trim, etc. etc I could go on....perhaps they are covered under individual articles but it would be nice to have a brief summary and then link to the various things...(its done in the intro but not really....) --83.61.164.102 16:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

What's with the "de facto" re. Navan, it *is* the county town. 194.165.181.169 00:00, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wotno flag?

Is there a reason the county flag isn't included on the page? [1] 158.234.10.144 (talk) 15:09, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
