Talk:Congers, New York
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since I've just contributed several revisions to the Congers, New York entry, I thought I'd leave a comment about why I did that--to go along with my IP address. Although I no longer live in Congers, I grew up there: my family moved to a house on New York Avenue (near Joliffe Lane) in 1960. I went to Congers Elementary and Lakewood Elementary, went to the Rockland Country Day School for grades 9-12, and returned often to Congers until my parents finally moved to Piermont in the mid-1990s. I swam and fished in most of the lakes, boated on at least two, skated on three, skinny dipped in one.
Further edits might want to mention that Congers is home to the Davies Farm, one of the last working farms (apples and corn, mostly) in Rockland County.
