[edit] History
In 1990 Connah's Quay became founder members of the Cymru Alliance positioning them for admission to the League of Wales on its formation in 1992. Nomads reached the semi final of the Welsh Cup in 1993 but lost 1-2 to Rhyl on aggregate. They went one better in 1998, going to extra time but the Nomads lost out to Bangor City after leading for a long spell.
The Nomads left their long-time home at the Halfway House in 1997 - a ground that hosted football as far back as the 19th century - for a new ground at Deeside College.
Connah's Quay Nomads recently appointed Jim Hackett as the clubs new manager after the shock departure of Neville Powell to Bangor City F.C.
At the end of season 2007-2008 Jim Hackett left position of manager by mutual consent along with other members of the coaching staff after discussion with chairman Bobby Hunter. The managers position is currently vacant despite assistant manager Andy Lee, Ken Price and Tommy Baker being informed to apply for the job internally.
