Is this high school notable enough? Blue Mask|Talk 19:30, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Nothing in the article or on the Internet (that I could find) justifies calling this school notable. Delete. Elf-friend 19:47, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Keep. Any high school receiving respected national awards is notable. --Benc 01:38, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)- The article mentions one (obscure, IMHO) award. Are there others? Elf-friend 01:54, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- You're probably right. Retracting my previous vote; abstain. --Benc 04:23, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: I know what the award is. First, the school's growth is common to charter schools in the US. Second, the charter school movement likely looks opaque to those not in the US, but they're a way of creating public schools that act like private schools. Hence, they step into an area of very high demand and nearly always experience explosive growth. Third, without something that sets this particular charter ahead of the hundreds of others formed at that time and since, it is not notable enough to break the rule against including every school on the earth. - I've nominated a couple of hs's for deletion as well, but I'm starting to wonder about the policy. Why can we not have an article about every school on earth, but we have a computer-generated article on every city, no matter how small, in the US? abstain... Salasks 22:40, Aug 3, 2004 (UTC)
